What is the resolution?
Resolution
can be demonstrated as image resolution or just as resolution.
Display
resolution (screen resolution) is the screen image precision. It refers to the
number of pixels on the display. The
display of a screen is composed of pixels. If a display has more pixels, its
image will be more clear and sophisticated. So the resolution is a very
important parameter. You can imagine the
entire image as a large board and the pixels are the crossovers on the board.
Under certain circumstances the display resolution can be like the smaller the
screen is, the sharper the image and vice versa. The screen size is fixed, so if
resolution will be high the image will be sharp.
Image
resolution is the number of pixels contained in one inch, which is defined more
close to the definition of the resolution itself.
Current common resolution:
TV Resolution: 680 * 480
720P: 1080 * 720 (HD 720P)
1080P: 1920 * 1080 (HD 1080P)
2K: 2560 * 1440 (ultra-clear 2K resolution)
4K:
4096 * 2160p Ultra HD (very clear, but usually 4K resolution of 3840 * 2160)
What is 16:
9?
16: 9 is the
ratio of width to height on the screen which is equal to 1.77: 1; this is what
we call the 16: 9 wide screen ratios. 16: 9 is more suitable to enjoy movies
and television.
What is 16:10?
16:10 refers to
the ratio of the width and height of the screen. This ratio is closer to the
golden ratio 0.618; it can give a more comfortable visual effect.
